Northern Municipal Power Agency

Thief River Falls is one of twelve cities that make up the Northern Municipal Power Agency (NMPA). NMPA owns 30% of the Coyote Station in Beulah, North Dakota, and a load ratio share of the transmission system. This Joint System includes Minnkota Power Cooperative and the Northern Municipal Power Agency. Thief River Falls is headquarters for the NMPA.  They provide a long-term, reliable electric power supply to Thief River Falls.
